Vaping CBD Hash: Temperatures and Accessories (2026 Guide)

Vaping CBD hash allows you to experience its full range of flavors without degrading them through combustion. But each type of resin—bubble, dry sift, charas, pressed—reacts differently to heat. Don99 shares his settings from the Hash Factory.

Why vaporize instead of burning?

Combustion destroys up to 60% of the cannabinoids and nearly all of the volatile terpenes. Vaporization extracts cannabinoids and terpenes through controlled convection or conduction at temperatures below the combustion point (~230 °C). The result: a purer taste, clearer effects, and zero toxic smoke.

Key temperatures by resin type

Bubble Hash & Dry Sift

Powdery texture, highly volatile terpenes. Start low, around 160 °C, to bring out the floral and fruity notes. Gradually increase the temperature to 190 °C to release the heavy cannabinoids. Don’t go over 210 °C—you’ll burn off what makes it special.

Charas & hand-rolled

Traditional pressing

The densest of them all. It takes heat to start releasing its aroma: it begins at 180 °C and rises to 200 °C. The heavy, resinous terpenes become apparent starting at 190 °C.

Rosin

An oily concentrate with a high terpene content. It starts at a very low temperature: 150–160 °C is enough to release the first notes. At 175 °C, the fruity profile comes through fully. Above 190 °C, you risk burning off the most volatile terpenes.

Which vaporizer is best for hash?

Not all vaporizers are suitable for hash. Resin, which is denser than flowers, requires:

• A conductive chamber base (stainless steel or ceramic) — for even heating
• Precise temperature control —ideally to the nearest degree, not just in increments
• Easy access for cleaning —the resin sticks and caramelizes faster than the flowers

Tip: Place the hash between two small pieces of organic cotton inside the chamber. This prevents the melted resin from dripping into the tubes—and makes cleaning 10 times easier.

The Full Melt Spray Test
