Here are some tips to help you enjoy your <strong>CBD hash<\/strong> for as long as possible\u2014these apply to <a href=\"https:\/\/hash-gang.com\/shop\/hash-cbd\/\">our entire artisanal line<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The 3 enemies of hash<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. The light<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Light (especially the sun&#8217;s UV rays) <strong>degrades cannabinoids and oxidizes terpenes<\/strong>. Hash exposed to light quickly loses its aromas and darkens. Always keep your hash in an opaque container or in a dark place (drawer, cupboard).  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. The heat<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heat accelerates the<strong>evaporation of terpenes<\/strong> (the aromatic molecules) and hardens certain hashes (especially pressed ones). Conversely, extreme cold can &#8220;break&#8221; certain hashes and alter their texture. The <strong>ideal temperature is between 15 and 21\u00b0C<\/strong> &#8211; the ambient temperature of a normal living room.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Humidity<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Too much humidity = risk of <strong>mold<\/strong>. Too dry = your hash dehydrates, hardens and loses its softness. Ideal humidity is between <strong>55 and 62%<\/strong>. Most Swiss interiors are within this range in normal conditions.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The ideal container<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hermetic<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The container must be <strong>airtight<\/strong>. Not to keep the aromas out (although that&#8217;s a bonus), but to <strong>keep the air in<\/strong>. Air is the main vector of oxidation.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Material<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three good options:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tinted or opaque glass<\/strong> &#8211; ideal. No interaction with resin, light-tight. Terpene jars or UV vials are ideal.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>Stainless steel<\/strong> &#8211; good too. Solid, watertight, neutral. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Food-grade silicone<\/strong> &#8211; acceptable, but may absorb terpenes slightly over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Avoid<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Standard plastic<\/strong> &#8211; can absorb terpenes and release undesirable compounds. Especially not for the long term. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Aluminum foil<\/strong> \u2014 convenient for short-term use, but not suitable for long-term storage (may oxidize due to microporosity).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Plastic Zip-lock<\/strong> bag \u2014 okay for one night, but a disaster for a week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Retention periods by hash type<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CBD hash and CBD flower do not store the same way\u2014the concentrated resin naturally has a longer shelf life than the flower, under equivalent conditions. When stored properly (in an opaque glass container, 15\u201321 \u00b0C, 55\u201362% RH): <strong>6 to 12 months<\/strong> without significant loss. Avoid repeated cycles of heat and cold at all costs\u2014they cause the resin to sweat.  <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pressed hash \/ double zero<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pressurized manufacturing reduces exposure to air. More durable format: <strong>12 to 18 months<\/strong> under proper conditions. Main risk: surface drying out if not packaged properly.  <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Charas<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A malleable texture, rich in fresh resins. Sensitive to heat.
